Security and justice institutions are estimated to fail in the last two cases of Kosovo killings. The two murders were committed by persons with criminal precedents, one of whom had been extradited from Italy to Kosovo just a few months earlier. According to experts, one of the reasons for the failure is the excessive focus of the Kosovo Police in the country's north.

The last two murders in Kosovo occurred by persons who had criminal precedents.

In fact, Tush Frocku, the leading suspect in the Kline assassination, had been extradited from Italy to Kosovo just a few months ago.

Such people, according to security expert Drizan Shala, move freely, as police have concentrated a lot in northern Kosovo.

“would have to give responsibility to the minister of internal affairs, who should make a functional reshuffle within the interior ministry. Because the minister has acted unwisely by dislocating most of his successes in the northern part, with an operational plan from 2021 on and other parts say they are left with monitors of police officials”, Shala has said.

A significant part of the blame, attorney Florim Shefqeti says it is also held by the prosecution and the judiciary.

“Negligence, conditioningly to say the justice system in the efficient treatment of criminal cases, but even property cases, is showing us in practice murder and repetition of them”, Shefqeti said.

Shefqet shows that the murder sentences are low.

We've seen in practice that the oriently average penaltys for murder behave about 12, 15 and 17 years. And according to the Penal Code, the moment two-thirds of the sentence is held, they have the right to seek parole of”, he has followed.

The main suspect in the Kline murder is still on the run, as well as at least one of those involved in the incident in the capital, which ended up with one killed and several wounded.
