EULEX chief: We welcome the removal of 25% of police from the north, to further decrease the presence

All three of these institutions have announced the meetings the Chief of Staff has had. EULEX chief Pietro Barbano, Kosovo Police General Director Gazmend Hoxha and KFOR Commander Angelo Michele Ristuccia.
For the meeting that took place on Tuesday, the chief of the staff mostly gave details EULEX. He said there will be technical meetings in the coming days.

EULEX has been more direct in a response to Gazeta Express on Wednesday.
“We welcome the Kosovo authorities' announcement of an immediate 25% reduction of police presence in and around municipal buildings in northern Kosovo, as well as the dedication to further reducing the presence of police” is said in the EULEX response referring to the first withdrawal of police from municipal buildings in the north and near them.
The European Mission for the Endimation of the Law, which has taken the greatest weight in Kosovo after the events in the north, has added that it expects concrete steps to remove other police officers.
We expect to see concrete steps in this direction in the next few days. We have agreed to hold the following technical meetings with the Kosovo Police and, in the case, with KFOR to conduct joint two-week security assessments of the situation in northern Kosovo, in order to assess the possibility of further reduction in and around municipal buildings” is said in EULEX's response.
