The country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, was participating in the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia, which started works yesterday.

In addition to a panel of other Western Balkan leaders, Kurti held several bilateral meetings in the margins of this forum, where he stressed the need for Kosovo integration, spoke of the situation in the north, as well as of resolving tensions with Serbia.

During his panel address, Kurti spoke about Kosovo's relations with the five non-recognising countries in the European Union, which he said the atmosphere is better than it was in the past

He even received some applause from the audience, in a replica of Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabyq, who tried to deny the existence of the Republic of Kosovo.

The so-called Republic of Kosovo is not an internationally recognised country”, the Serbian prime minister stressed, to which Kurti responded with some actual arguments proving Kosovo's connection with the European Union.

“Support in Kosovo for the European Union in Kosovo is 94 percent, in Serbia is about 45 percent. We have imposed sanctions against the Russian federation, Serbia does not, it does not. It doesn't distance itself from either Milosevic or Putin, so it's not simple for us”, Kurti said, whose word is interrupted by the audience's applause.

Kurti also enjoyed a statement by European Council President Charles Michel, who said the EU should be expanded by 2023. This, according to Kurti, implies that Kosovo's integration process will be accelerated, which he considered encouraging.

Whom did Prime Minister Albin Kurti meet, and what message did he convey?

Prime Minister Kurti, his bilateral meetings, started with Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov, a week after informal dinner in Athens, at the invitation of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

With his Bulgarian counterpart, Prime Minister Kurti has talked about bilateral relations between the two states and optimising the potential of co-operation, especially in the area of the economy.

In June of this year's Kosovo-Bulgarian Economic Oda founded its headquarters in Sofia. The number of Bulgarian investors in Kosovo is about 135 with investment power around 6m euros extended to such sectors as trade and services, tourism, construction, information technology and transport”

Kurti also invited him to visit Kosovo in the near future.

Kosovo's Ambassador to Slovenia Valdet Sadiku, Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Policy Chairman Abreena Kryeziu Hyseni and the prime minister's political adviser, lives Zulfaj.

Another meeting, the Kosovo chief executive had with the Special Envoy of the United Kingdom for the Western Balkans, Lord Peach.

According to the prime minister's Office media report, at the meeting, which has been held along the Bled Forum for Security, it has been discussed regional co-operation, current issues and the situation in the four municipalities in the country's north.

Kurti has reportedly notified Peachin “of the implementation of the Bratislava agreement between Kosovo and the European Union about the full escalation of the situation in the country's north”.

Important was the meeting with European Union emissary Miroslav Lajcak, who ended with an important announcement.

Following this meeting, it was warned that in September the next summit in Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is expected.

“With Lajcak the prime minister also discussed opportunities for a rotating Brussels summit during September”, the communique said.

The government gave other details of the conversation.

“About the situation in the four municipalities north of Kosovo, the prime minister reminded us that we already have a de-extraded situation that should not be re-scalated. Kosovo is currently working on the secondary legislation for early elections, which should lead you to an open campaign, without intimidation and blackmail followed by free and democratic elections”.

The meeting with Slovenian Prime Minister, which is also the host of the Black Strategic Forum, Robert Golob. This was the first bilateral meeting between them.

At this meeting, it has been discussed on the relationship between two states, with Cçrast Kurti stressing that Slovenia is among the top five investors in Kosovo's economy.

Kurt has also expressed regret to Golub over the floods that took place in Slovenia early August.

According to Kurti, there are some things that make Kosovo a suitable place for Slovenian investments, such as adequate geographic position, favourable fiscal policies, institutional stability and the potential of the workforce.

“within theme “Solidarity for Global Security”, within which the forum is under way this year, they also discussed regional co-operation, Western Balkans membership in the European Union, and the dialogue for implementation of the Basic Agreement of Brussels and Ohrid Annex”, said in the end.

On his day, Prime Minister Kurt concluded with the ambassador of the United States to O The SBE, Michael Carpenter, with whom they discussed current issues in the country and the process of dialogue, respectively, implementation of the Basic Agreement and its Annex.

The prime minister stressed that after more than two months have passed without incidents and violent protests in the four municipalities in the north, and the reduction of the presence of the Kosovo Police in and around municipal buildings due to the situation in the field, the deespass has already occurred, and that the potential recovery must be prevented”, the prime minister's announcement said.
