This Friday, Ukraine knocked down a rocket near the children's hospital in Kiev, but no injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, in its daily announcement of the Russian attack on Ukraine, the British Defence Ministry said that “has real chances” for a small number of trainers from the Wagner mercenary group to be present during the training of Belarusian troops in the Grodno region, northwest of Belarus, near the kufur with Poland and Litania.

According to the announcement, the Belarus Defence Ministry said the exercise in the Grodnos “area includes lessons learned by the Russian Army in Ukraine”, adding that Wagner's troops would likely act as trainers during the exercise.

Ukrainian officials also announced that in the town of Zaporisizia, Ukraine, a Russian rocket hit a hotel where members of United Nations personnel have often stayed, causing a dead man and 16 injured.

The co-ordinator for humanitarian affairs for Ukraine, Denise Brown, confirmed to Reuters that United Nations personnel were often staying at the Reycartz Hotel when traveling for work in this city.

Four children were among the wounded.

On Thursday evening, the Ukrainian navy said it had started using a “humanitarian cohort” provisional and that the first ships are expected to sail through it for days. The announcement comes after last month, Russia withdrew from an agreement allowing Ukraine to export grain through Black Sea ports.

Ukrainian officials said the corridor will be used for its commercial ships, which are blocked in Ukrainian ports, wheat products and other agricultural products. / VOA
