Arrested in Merdare by former Istog militia chief suspected of war crimes during the years of 1998 -99

Police investigators from the Directorate for Investigation of War Crimes, under authorisations of the State Prosecutor at the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, have for a period of time conducted investigative actions, gathering evidence and evidence, and identifying perpetrators of war crimes criminal acts.
According to Kosovo police report, these investigations have been focused about the discovery of perpetrators committed in the Istog municipality region in 1998-1999. In the course of investigative commitments, evidence and evidence of crimes and perpetrators has been achieved. Police investigators have accepted and processed numerous operational information in terms of identification, location and locate of the suspect, activity and movement, in and outside Kosovo's territory.
The investigative process has been assisted by Kosovo Intelligence Agency officials with whom it has closely co-operated in a team work, where intelligent information processing has been made. Co-ordination of activities has made it possible to identify a war crimes suspect who in the time of the 1998-1999 war was chief military chief in Istog.
Suspect M.P. has been arrested today at 04.08.23 at 18:05 at the Border Cross Point in Merdare. With the same prosecutor's decision, it has been submitted to holding for up to 48 hours. /Periscopi/
