The Court of Appeals panel has scheduled the session on the case of Salih Mustaf for the 26th and 27th October of this year.
In February, Salih Mustafa's defense had revealed the handover of nine causes of appeal, following a 26-year prison sentence, which you submitted in December last year.
The prosecution claims Mustafa has committed war crimes and the charges weighing on him are arbitrary bans, cruel treatment, torture, unlawful murder, while he has been convicted of point 1, 3 and 4.
The trial against Mustafa had begun on September 15, 2021, and sessions were held in 52 days.
There are eight people who have been admitted as victims and who have participated in this judicial process, while 13 SPS and 15 defence witnesses have been heard.
Early in this process Salih Mustafa, who faces charges of alleged war crimes, was declared innocent before the court.
According to the Specialised Chambers “The confirmed indictment stipulates that approximately between April 1st 1999 and April 19, 1999, at a detention complex in Zlatko, Kosovo, arbitrary detention crimes, cruel treatment and torture against at least six persons” were committed.
