The corrupt environment, mega-scandals, nepotism, terns... all these can describe the government led by Albin Kurti. Furthermore, Periscope brings a review of the largest scandals of Kurti Government at a general glance.
1. Martin Berishaaj
It was 2022, when Slovenian media circulated news about Kosovo's ambassador to Croatia, Martin Berishaj, who argued he is involved in a diplomatic money laundering scandal through a company registered in Montenegro.
According to the media, Martin Berisha's company has received 600m euros, which has gradually attracted cash and allegedly returned to Golub [the Chairman of the Freedom Party], to invest anonymously in an Italian fund.
This was just the beginning of the many reports that followed. The scandal deepened even more... The Belgrade-based GEN company, which included the name of Kosovo's ambassador to Croatia, Martin Berishaaj, turned out to have received millions of euros from the state budget, right at the time of energy collapse. Kosovo's Energy Corporation, according to electricity exchange reports, had bought electricity worth 4.2m euros in December 2021 and January 2022 alone, while selling electricity to the company about 105 thousand euros.
This company, which was reported to be Ambassador Martin Berisha, is their adviser and raised media doubts about suspicious transactions worth over half a million euros, in fact according to constantly provided documents, turned out to have traded energy with KEK.
Surprisingly, even in the months when Kosovo was in energy collapse, KEK turned out to have sold electricity to this company, but at twice the price of the purchase it had paid.
This trade trade was made with state budget money, ahead of which Prime Minister Albin Kurti had shared for buying electricity to overcome the crisis that has engulfed Kosovo.
KEK alone in this period, had bought electricity from this company for two months and then authorized the KED company / KESCO. But the sale of energy at undesirable prices continued after that period.
While KEK in January 2022 had sold electricity to the GEN company at prices of only 105 euros per megawatts, it had purchased electricity from the Belgrade-based company at a price of 255 euros per megawatt. From this company, electricity worth over 2.3m euros was imported in January this year. And in December 2021, it imported electricity worth over 1.9m euros.
KEK's total import from all companies for December 2021 and January 2022 exceeds the figure of over 15.1m euros.
In the end, it is worth noting that the prosecution 11 months ago has launched investigations into the Martin Berishaj case, but still has nothing...
2. Nagip Krasniqi
Who is and what is suspected by the former member of the Vetevendosje Movement, brought to this government mandate at the head of the Kosovo Energy Corporation. [ Footnote] KEK], Nagip Krasniqi
Before becoming chief executive in KEK, Krasniqi was chairman of the Energy Committee in Vetevendosje Movement.

Nagip Krasniqi is suspected of three criminal acts, use of official position or authority, exercise of influence and interest conflict.
According to the prosecutor's file, Krasniqi on January 26th 2023 had linked harmful contracts in opposition to the Public Procurement Law, so that by acting with the tender a tender, named as <x0). Remake emergency capital progress on the A5” blockade, under negotiated procedure without the publication of the contract, has contracted with Litin SA Company, at price of 3m and 500 thousand euros, changing the terms of the contract.

3. Faruk Mujku
About a month ago, he was arrested [to be released later] chief executive chief of the Hydroeconomic Company Board “Iber-Lepenci”, under suspicion of corruption, while being deputy head of the Mitrovica municipality at the time this municipality was led by President Agim Bahtiri. The mujka was also chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement in Mitrovica.
Mujka was arrested along with Hysen Muzliukaj, former adviser to Minister Faton Peci, for misusing the official position. The arrest of Mujka and Muzliukaj preceded a raid on their joint properties. During the raid, 60 thousand euros, phones, laptops were seized, USB and various other documents regarding the case.
4. Libron Aliu
Where the toilets evaporate is obviously on the highways. In the hope of the people that there will be no more scandals of this kind with the Kurt government, it turned out to be a bitter end...
379 thousand euros were evaporated on the Gjilan highway, where Lieburn Aliu is leading the Ministry of Infrastructure. Periscope had reported that in the past year, the Ministry of Infrastructure, allegedly made an automatic payment on behalf of the company “2 AGroup”, in the name of several jobs performed on the Gjilan Highway Project.
It is alleged that the company had offered a forged bill by tricking Lieburn Aliu's ministry for a value of 379 thousand euros for repaying, even though it has not done any work, nor has there been any such work that needs to be done for what is known as legislation. Periscop's reporting became the way for the Prosecutor to attend this scandal case.
5. Afera Zravo
“A wish to coordinate, a without co-ordination...” That would be Prime Minister Kurti's words to Mimoza Kusari, but who actually addressed the opposition for another topic in the Kosovo Assembly.
The National portal last month released a audio-incision of conversations between VV parliamentary group chief Mimoza Kusari-Lila, with Serbian List deputy Slavko Sini.
It's about a lot, up to the point when it's understood that Kusari Lil has even had contact with the very many people from Kosovo and who are on America's blacklist, Milan Radojrich.
During these wiretapping, no insults to veterans and insults against colleagues themselves by opposition parties are missing
6. Close to Oil and wheat
High-level media published another audio-incision, but this time with another protagonist. It is Industry, Trade and Trade Minister Roseta Hajdari, who is suspected of Poland's oil scandal that had never come to Kosovo, even though it was paid bills.
A few days later, after the oil relatives, only the product changed. Oil “became” wheat.
Trade and Industry Ministry officials in these recordings talk about signing the grain purchase contract last year. They name some officials like Hafiz Gara, Rexha, Arberi, the adviser (unknown whether it is the adviser of the minister, or of any other official)

7. Extazi scandal

The synthetic drugs that had come to Tirana were destined for the domestic market.
The drugs were wrapped in Louis Vuitton. Narcotics files were learned to be sold mainly in the area of the former bloc and at night bars. According to estimates, one dose was sold 30-50 euros, and the entire amount was worth about 500,000 euros.
