One person was killed and more than 60 were injured in the explosion that damaged the Zagorsk optic and mechanical factory in Sergiev Posad yesterday, writes Sky News.
Perotechnic equipment was being stored in a rented warehouse within the territory, investigators said.
The factory produces equipment for industrial and health applications and for Russian security forces.
The cause of the blast has not yet been determined, but emergency services have dismissed early reports that it could have been caused by a Ukrainian-dig attack.
