The Black Sea Peninsula was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014.
Asked whether he could predict a scenario in which peace can be achieved without the Crimea, he said: “will not then be victory”.
Speaking of the brief rebellion organised by Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Pigozin, Zelensky said it shows Vladimir Putin “does not control everything”.
“Wagner entering deep into Russia and taking some regions shows how easy it is to become. Putin doesn't control the situation in the regions. All that vertical power he had before is coming down”, Zelensky said.
Half of Russia supported the paramilitary group's progozin and rebellion, the Ukrainian leader added.
