Ukrainian writer Victoria Amele is murdered

The war crimes researcher has become the 13th person to die in the attack.

Association of Writers P En Ukraine said doctors “did everything they could to save her life, but unfortunately the wounds were fatal”, the BBC writes.

Human rights activists have called the attack a war crime.

Kramatorsk is under Ukraine's control, but it's close to parts occupied by Russia and Ukraine.

Amelina, 37, was dining with a delegation of Colombian journalists and writers in the famous Ria Lounge Hall when the missile struck. About 60 others were injured in the attack.

She was rushed to the hospital in Dnipro, but she did not survive the injuries.

Amelena was one of Ukraine's most famous young writers, who began documenting war crimes after Russia's full occupation last year. She also started working with the children near the front line.

Last year she discovered Volodymyr Vaculenko's journal of child writer, who was kidnapped and killed by Russian troops in the town of Izyum shortly after the invasion.

Her first non-profit book in English, War and Justice Diary: Looking at Women Looking at War, expected to be published.
