Kosovo's Hydrometeorology Institute (IHMK) has warned that this month, based on the average of maximum temperatures, will be <x1nder the hottest months for many of the last years”.
Data from IHPC and Accwether show that the heat wave that has hit Europe has made July of this year the hottest in the last six years.

And during these last days, many Kosovo citizens have headed to pools and different Fountains across the country in an effort to cool off.
These temperatures come after two colder months and frequent rainfall in Kosovo, which caused floods in several cities with greater damage in Pec.
Floods in Pec caused the death of a five-year-old mother and her child, while various storms killed seven people last week in the Balkans and left hundreds more injured.
The entire Western Balkan region has been hit by high temperatures. Montenegro, Albania and Northern Macedonia have faced temperatures even higher than in Kosovo.
The IHPC has predicted that extreme temperatures will continue for several more days, but that they will drop below 30 degrees Celsius on July 27th and 28th.
But this is not the first time Kosovo has been hit by such heat waves. Since 2001, July in Kosovo has been on three cases in 2007, 2012 and 2015 more hot than this year.
This has caused, in terms of minimum average temperatures, this year's July will be the second hotest since 2001.
