These are Swiss municipalities with the largest percentage of Kosovars

Albanians (mostly citizens of Kosovo and Macedonia) officially make up the fourth largest, foreign, community in Switzerland, behind Germans, Italians and Portuguese.

But in the German cantons of the country, they take third place, even second place.

On the other hand, it is known that when we say the Albanian community, we think of all Albanians, regardless of whose state they come from and whether they have already received Swiss citizenship.

At this glance, the Albanian country on the list would certainly be higher. However, Swiss statistics see this differently. They list foreigners according to their citizenship. Therefore, it is difficult to establish the number of Albanians in this country.

However, the Federal Bureau of Statistics has recently made a list of ten municipalities with the highest percentage of Kosovo residents, writes brick.ch. Citizens with dual citizenship are not counted. The numbers are 2021. The paper in question has also carried out a reportation on the life and integration of Albanians from Kosovo to the Egerkingen municipality.

1. Egerkingen (Solothurn)

The Egerkingen municipality takes first place. Here the proportion of Kosovars in proportion to the total number of residents is 9.3 percent, so 391 out of the total 4221 inhabitants are Kosovars. Egerkingen is directly on the highway and limited, among other things, with Härkingen, Hägendorf and Neuendorf municipalities. Besides, Egerkingen is very close to Olten.

2. Reinch AG
Reinach in the Aragau canton takes second place in the ranking, with 9.2 percent. This village, along with Menziken, is an economic center in southern Arigau. 9.2 percent means 838 citizens of Kosovo's citizenship live in the Reinach municipality with 9108 inhabitants.

3. Leibstad AG
This village is best known for the nuclear power plant. Out of 1886 residents (year 2021) 157 are from Kosovo. That's 8.3 percent.

4. Triengen Uba
What do toothbrushes, hair dryers, and small planes have in common? Exactly, all three are connected to Triengen. Swiss company Trisa has her headquarters here. It employs over 1,000 people and supplies all of Switzerland. In addition to an airport for small aircraft, Triengen also has a large road network that can be used to travel quickly to Lucerne or Aarau. With a population of 4687 (since 2021), 387 come from Kosovo ʹ so 8.3 percent.

5. Bottstein AG
Let's go back to Aregau Canton. Bötstein is in Aare in Zurzach County. Of 4063 inhabitants (from 2021), 8 percent are of Kosovo citizenship, 325 residents, records albinfo.ch. Just across the river, across the Aare River, is Döttiegen, who ranks 12th with 6.7 percent of Kosovars.

6. Beer AG
The procedure here is 7.7 percent. 354 out of 4573 residents are from Kosovo. Since the establishment of the ABB Energy Company (Brown, Boveri & Cie). Besides ABB, the General Electric branch currently operates.

7. Spreitbach AG
Spreitbach is known to everyone. According to Bfs, the town of Spreebakh has 12,162 inhabitants (2021) and a percentage of foreigners over 50 percent. 921 residents come from Kosovo. That's 7.6 percent.

8. Tecknau BL
Tecknau in the Baselland canton is a very small coun. It has a population of 813 (since 2021), and 60 of them are Kosovars, accounting for 7.4 percent of Tecknau's residents.

9. Dulliken SO
Solothurn's second municipality on this list is in Olten County. About 7.3 per cent of Dullicen's 5,200 residents come from Kosovo, or 382 Sish.

10 AG Menzice
Here the composition of residents from Kosovo is 7.2 percent. Menzicen is right next to Reinach. 483 out of 606 are Kosovars.
