“They had multiple injuries on their heads”, Hitova said.
Eight people are injured, but there are no children among them.
According to authorities, emergency services have accepted 700 calls, and only firefighters have interviewed in 50 cases.
Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomashevic has called on citizens to call emergency services only in case of emergency, as the lines are blocked.
The storm, followed by torrential rain and strong winds, began around 1600 and lasted about 20 minutes. / REL
