In a response to Time, EU spokesman Peter Stano has said leaders of the 27 EU member states at the European Council last week have called for immediate suspension of the situation.

Stano has told the time that the parties should consider EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell's proposal.
“We reiterate the call for both sides to refrain from any action or rhetoric that could lead to further growth of tensions and take urgent steps to de-scalm the current situation in northern Kosovo in line with the proposal made by HRVP Borrell on June 22nd,”, he has said.
