Sheriff quits his job due to the clash of Arifi and Albin Kurti

Silver Sheriff, municipal adviser in Presevo, has left the Alternative Party for Change, which heads the mayor of the municipality, Shqirim Arifi.

In a response to the Sheriff, he has said he has not agreed to the clashes Arifi has faced with the government in Kosovo.

Sheriff's delivery:

I started my journey on the political scene with the Alternative for Change, and I'm very proud of the things we've managed to do together in a collective way and I'm very proud on an individual basis by enduring all these years loyal to my principles, loyal to the subject and loyal to all.

Throughout this journey, I didn't even imagine the day would come and stop for a moment, even though there were times when I kept silent even when I had to speak, only for the sake of common contribution as a subject, and especially for the sake of all who believed us. But now it's time to put it on the scales, the contribution of a subject to the fate of our community population.

I've said before publicly how we've missed local power and we're going to make mistakes in the future because no one's infallibility. But the mistakes of seeing our subject being the first of the municipality are no longer justified.

I'm willing to talk for hours about the goods and bads of local government because the goods will never be denied, but the bad people believe that you already know and you're touching them.

We were the almost last hope of this municipality, for a fair, transparent government, for all without any distinction, but this hope was captured by the wind.

We were the voice and hope of youth in particular, while our young people were wasting ranges on the streets of exile.

And let's not talk about co-operation and co-ordination with leaders of our state to the Republic of Albania and that of the Republic of Kosovo, at a time when we are required to be unique in their report.

All this political mess has just one name for me, that's Shqip Arifi.

A man we young people gave him the golden opportunity to be the leader of a municipality, we sat him down on tables where he might never have been able to sit in life, knowingly or unconsciously mishandled this case by turning us with extreme responsibility. Thinking that you know everything yourself, thinking that we counselors are puppets, giving ourselves the right as mayor to insult the citizens, even more so in our case because it's about citizens who speak the same language.

I personally advised him that at the very beginnings of the fight with leaders of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, but always in deaf ears. My political conviction may not be the same as Mr. Kurti, but who gives me the right, or a mayor of a municipality like this one of ours to criticize and constantly insult a prime minister?

If we are inclined only to criticize, then we have the state prime minister where we are living or the president and we have the right to give days/night criticism, because we are the most discriminated against in Europe maybe even wider.

However, it won't last any longer, I'm always open everywhere and with everyone to protect the sound reasons for my action I'm taking.

With full moral responsibility and full personal conviction, I declare that I will no longer support the current mayor of Albania Arifin.

I firmly believe that there are many of my colleagues who think the same way, but they have some reason that it doesn't allow them to make this decision, because we're a small place where we all know each other and difficult are these decisions, and I invite them with the utmost sincerity to come together and take Eagle Arifi away from his position, how much it's not too late, or at the end of the day, guilt won't be left only in Shqirim Arifi, but it will be held accountable to us.

To make it easier for all of us, I invite Eagle Arifi to resign from all the positions he currently enjoys.

And for the end, I will continue to be advisors to the Alternative for Change, and wish this subject continues to be part of the political scene, understood without Shqim Arifi, because in its structures there are many young men and girls who want the best of this country.

It results in my participation in the Municipal Assembly hearings (for causing lack of quorum) until Albania's resignation or dismissal from the position of the mayor of Komuna!
