Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said yesterday that under the Berlin Process, in 2014, he spoke to then German Chancellor Angela Merkel about linking Nis and Durres through a highway passing from Kosovo.
“Alexander Vuciq two days ago opened the highway up to Merdar of 5.5km. He called it “The Autostrada of Peace”. Today, two days later, half the highway has disappeared. So either Aleksandar Vucinq lied and the highway isn't building or someone stole half the highway in 24 hours. Since it is impossible for the president to lie, the only option left is to steal. That's why we've made a criminal claim and we expect the prosecution and police to find the thieves as soon as possible because the 5.5 km of highway costs several million euros and it's a big theft”, he said.
Djilas added that the truth is that there is no highway, even there is a triple current price, reports N1.
The opposition leader said that no one has ever opened a five-mile highway, “five kilometers are far from highway, but only one lane through which cars move in two directions”.
Otherwise, Vuciq had declared that “I think it is very important to connect with our Gracanica, but also with Pristina, Tirana, Durres. It facilitates our work and progress, import and export of goods and services”.
