The Serbian Party has strongly condemned this incident that occurred.
On behalf of the Serbian people, we strongly condemn the incident that occurred last night when unknown persons threw shock-bombs near the neighbourhood “Three Rrokakiejt” north of Mitrovica and caused the concern of our citizens”, reportedly in the reaction of the Serbian List.
In the response, the Serbian List claims this was deliberately done “to justify the increased presence of armed special forces and armoured vehicles that last night after this incident have been on the streets of Mitrovica”.
“The launching of fireworks or similar pyrotechnic devices is not a crime in itself, but what worries us is that the counterfeiting of such incidents is intended to create alibis for Kurt's special forces in Serbian environments, and continued depression against our people, as well as baseless arrests”, is said in their response.
The Serbian list has asked KFOR and EULEX to strengthen their presence in northern Kosovo, especially in northern Mitrovica, as they have said to prevent these fabricated incidents”.
