RTK's management has reacted after media reporter Asdren Agoshi said that after working seven years as a journalist and correspondent, he was suspended.
Agush has said his suspension is linked to criticism of power.
The RTK management in response issued today has said that the suspension in question is a continuing violation of work tasks and ignoring the superiors' demands for implementation of subjects, in no way because of stories of critical character.
“The suspension in question involves continuing violations of the work tasks and ignoring the superiors' demands for the realisation of subjects, not due to critical character stories”, said in response.
Full response:
RTK's management reacts to biased and unverified writings and statements by some media and politicians regarding a case of suspension of a journalist-competitive.
The outcome in question involves continuing violations of the work tasks and ignoring the superiors' demands for implementation of subjects, not due to critical character stories.
According to official papers, the correspondent in Gjilan over the past two months has accomplished only 6 topics.
For more, despite editors' requests, journalist-korrpondents did not realise the topics that were required and did not respond to official emails. Such a thing, based on RTK's internal regulation under the labour law, is considered a serious violation. And the measures to be taken are suspension or dismissal.
In no single case, RTK has not been censorship or unable to establish topics that may have been subject to the work of government or municipalities, so the management requires the media to verify the actual situation and take the statement from the other side before breaking off such news.
RTK is ready to offer access to all documentation where it can be verified that the worker in question has, in effect, received professional remarks from the editor-in-chief.
As for the expression of opinions on social networks, this is also regulated by secondary legislation, but in this specific case, the measure is taken for violations of the labour contract.
RTK remains committed to implementing professional standards and its mission for fair and impartial information.
