Remi testifies at The Hague how they communicated during the war, Demac says he gave two phones

In the course of the testimony, he asks you about communication channels during wartime.

He mentioned how Adam Demach had given him two telephones back then.

Mustafa: No, I don't remember numbers.

ProsecutorCommunication was on a good level in the Llap Zone?

MustafaIt wasn't a good phone communication. At the time, phone numbers have been controlled by Serbia. We for command needs had satellite phones. But often they have been dysfunctional because of the payments. Communication wasn't good, it wasn't fun.

Prosecutor: What was your communication device?

Mustafa: There were radios, telephones, and personally trips, eye-to-eye meetings.

ProsecutorCan you tell us roughly when you got these radio equipment?

Mustafa: We had a three-piece area in June-July 1998. Gradually, it's coming to multiply their numbers. We've been brought in by people and the number has grown.

Prosecutor: Did you have a certain location where you took these radio connections?

Mustafa: I remember a number of radio connections came from the West.

Prosecutor: These radio connections even had one?

Mustafa: There were also units, but it was a problem, that we were out of electricity and trouble filling them up. We've had our technical difficulties.

Prosecutor: You said you had another phone number, but where did you get them?

Mustafa: They came from outside. From our countrymen. I remember two of them being picked up by KLA chief Ademi Demac.

Prosecutor: Do you remember what time you took these?

Mustafa: It could be after September, after the offensive to us that had developed.

Prosecutor: Where did you keep these satellite phones?

Mustafa: The phone that was the command was kept in command. We kept the phone.

Prosecutor: Who was right or access to them?

Mustafa: He was the commander of the Brigades. They could have let the others go. It would have been the limited number of those who had the right to use it.

Procure: Did they enable you to communicate in other areas and the General Staff?

Mustafa: We've had moments of contact but it's been very difficult because the intervention of enemy forces in them has been easy, we've been able and we haven't worked well with them and we've had problems.

Prosecutor: Did you give such communication equipment to the General Staff?

Mustafa: I offered them two rado-connections, but I can't remember we talked through them with the General Staff.

ProsecutorAre you specifically talking about these devices?

Mustafa: Yes.

Prosecutor: Would it be correct to say that the Lap Operative Zone members had regular telephone contact with the General Staff?

Mustafa: Every time I could get them on the phone, we heard. But regular I wouldn't have said. /Express/
