United Kosovo Education, Science and Culture Union ( The SBASK has said that the Kosovo government has continued stubbornly and has not consulted parties for changes to the Law on Pension schemes.

According to the communiqué, The SBASK has accused the Government of failing to co-operate and that even with the new changes, there is discrimination in the Law on Pension schemes.

“Government Kurti getting braved by the number of votes continues to issue laws and make changes in the Law without consulting the parties that are affected with these decisions and laws. Such an action has taken place with the Bill on Changes in the Law on Retirement Plans Funded by the State. The SBASK, pending unions from the commission and Minister Murati will be invited to offer controversial proposals regarding these changes, had prepared arguments, facts and concrete proposals that would make permanent and fair solutions for all parties affected by the Law. However, the government continued with the wrong approach and stubbornness, and changes were voted to say and as discrimination continues and solutions are short and unfair”, the report said.

According to the SBASK, these amendments are affected by other laws, such as the case with the Law for the Law of Education Workers of the 1990s, which, as a contributing year, was familiar with those who worked in the Kosovo Republic's educational system from 1989 to October 31, 1999, when the school year had ended, which was prolonged with the Kosovo organ decision of that time.

The law on pension schemes was voted in the Assembly on Thursday. However, it has not ended the several-year discrimination of pensioners who have paid contributions.
