Prime Minister Rama has said it is no secret that Albania protects the interests of the Republic of Kosovo.
“It is not a secret that the Republic of Albania protects the interests of Albanians in Kosovo and other countries, and we are very interested that the Berlin Process agreements, primarily the agreement on free movement with ID cards for the Albanian citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, because it is meaningless that we have problems of this nature and that descend to the citizens' level, while the policy should serve all citizens apart from”, Rama said.
He said he has come to Sarajevo to brief the chairman of the Council of Ministers for the Berlin Process in Tirana in October of this year.
I hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina will sign such an agreement under Serbia's model. In October in Tirana we must maintain a common position on all issues that concern us and raise issues that concern us all together”, Rama said.
Albania's prime minister, during his tour of the capitals of Western Balkan countries, has previously visited Skopje and Pristina, while after Sarajevo he will go to Podgorica and Belgrade.
Rama's Balkan tour aims to brief countries in the region of preparations Albania is making to host the Berlin Process Summit.
Rama also said Albania wants to strengthen co-operation between that country and Bosnia and Herzegovina and that it is working on opening an Albanian embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Christmas on her part said they discussed “good and friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania”.
We have no open issues. We stressed regional co-operation and remain committed to the Berlin Process”, Christo said.
