Rama from Belgrade: Delaying the establishment of Assolution is strategic error

The Berlin process and the situation in the region, including developments in northern Kosovo, have been the topics Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said he has talked with Serbia's President, Allexandar Vuciq. “We have gained open habit of exchanging opinions and sometimes disagreeing with them, but we must work for the good [...]
“We have won the habit of openly exchanging thoughts and sometimes not agreeing with them, but we must work for the sake of peace. We need such moments to work together”, Rama said, on July 7th, in Belgrade.
Those statements, Prime Minister Rama made at a media conference in Belgrade, after meeting with Serbian President Allexandar Vuciq.
Rama stressed that he believes procrastinating the formation of the Serb majority municipalities in Kosovo is a strategic mistake.
Speaking of the situation in Kosovo, he has added that it is also wrong to “insit” for Albanian leaders in northern Kosovo to stay in municipal buildings.
In late May, when the new Albanian mayors of Zvecan municipalities, Leposaviqi and Zubina Potok entered municipal buildings with police assistance, despite opposition from local Serbs who boycotted the elections, tensions arose in northern Kosovo.
The European Union and other Western countries require the immediate de escalation of the situation, holding new elections, and restoring dialogue for normalisation of relations. / REL/
