The first of the Government hopes EU punitive measures will be shorter in time as Kosovo needs support in its development.

“Whatever it is we do our job, but let's not forget that we cannot compromise either rule of law or constitutionality of our country so we will continue with the implementation of our government programme and we hope that these temporary measures will be very short so that support and European aid can be complete because Kosovo is a country that needs support in developing it<1>, Kurti said during the inauguration of the new park, in the village of Davidocies.

Even today, as other days, opposition parties through their officials have addressed criticism of Prime Minister Kurti, especially after his statement, where EU measures called them unfair, and said that “that we cannot compromise neither with the rule of law nor with the constitutionality of our country”.

PDK Deputy Chairman Vlora Citaku says that even after the 5th day when the decision on sanctions against Kosovo has been communicated to the Government, top state leaders are continuing to remain silent.

The prime minister, as always generalized and said nothing. The president is continuing to remain silent” wrote Citaku.

The former ambassador has written that moments like these are defining for a state's political and strategic trajectory.

LDK spokeswoman Sübel Halimi has said that Kosovo is closing by one door every day, while Prime Minister Kurti says punitim measures by the European Union are unfair.

In a Facebook post, Halimi has said that from non-co-ordination with allies, Kosovo went to escalation and sanctions.

AAK MP Pal Lekaj says his party has predicted since the start of the situation and therefore the alleged reason they have been against the elections.

Lekaj stresses that the EU's punitive measures came after Prime Minister Kurti's stubbornness.
