United Kingdom Emisari for the Western Balkans, Stuart Peach, has participated in the Dubrovnik Forum in Croatia, where it is discussed security in the Western Balkan region. Peach has said it agrees fully with the findings made by the two Escobar and Lajcak emisars, and adds that the United Kingdom is an active supporter of security in the region since the 1990s wars.
Peach, has put his hypothesis on what if Russia is looking for a second war front to draw attention to the failure of the war in Ukraine. He has called for the region not to fall into Russia's trap.
He said that we should return to provocations and hate speech and become a plan.
In the end, Peach has asked all to show respect for the dialogue, saying that perhaps without the support provided by NATO and the EU, perhaps the region would be much closer to falling into Russia's trap.
I fully agree with Escobar and Lajcak. The United Kingdom has been an active supporter of security in the region since the 1990s.
What if Russia is trying to destabilise this region by creating a second front to draw attention to failures in major war efforts. Let's not fall into the Russian trap.
Stay in the dialogue. Let's see more reconciliation, more programs for reconciliation. Let's not go back to the provocations and hate speech of the past, and make a plan.
My simple message, is to ask everyone to show respect in our dialogue, for organizations and multi-ethnic institutions like O The SEU and NATO in their bid to provide a secure region.
Because my simple message, because without these forces, it's painful that they needed 30 years after the war. But without those NATO and EU-enforced forces, we would probably be closer to the Russian trap”, Peach has said.
