Passing the new pension bill to Government benefits about 70 thousand pensioners

Finance Minister Iron Murati has indicated this has been a major injustice to which the end is coming.

“There has been a discrimination in the aspect that has been on the threshold for 15 years of work stay, but violent firing has not been taken into account. As a result of violent departure, many who have contributed perhaps 14 years and 11 months have failed to meet the condition. We are undoing this discrimination because it will be calculated towards meeting the conditions for 15 years, while the pension height will be determined on the basis of the years of contributions”, said Minister Murati.

According to him, some 70 thousand persons qualify as beneficiaries of changing this law.

I have to tell you some statistics, from this amendment theoretically benefits 104 thousand people who would meet the condition, yet we must consider that some may have changed their lives and some may still not have reached retirement age. In the basic pension scheme, there are about 70 thousand people and would qualify for the parliamentary pension of the age”, Murati also said.

Murati also says he hopes the Parliament will take the necessary measures for proceeding this law.
