Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani today has met with the European Union's special emissary for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak. The presidency's communiqué reportedly has been discussed at the meeting for the current political and security challenges “with particular emphasis on the country's north, efforts for the despassing of the situation, as well as the need for implementation of the Brussels agreement and the annex of Ohrid”.
Osmani has said that Kosovo institutions are committed to having together with international partners overcome current challenges and that Kosovo has demonstrated its will for deespassing, offering to organise new elections in the country's north, in line with Kosovo's legal framework.
As for developments in the north, Osmani has said that criminal groups and individuals who used violence against police, journalists, KFOR members, EULEX and citizens must face justice.
