Meanwhile, the majority blames the latter for the current situation with their policies.
In addition to failing to ensure new recognitions, the opposition also throws fire on the way Kosovo is treated in the international arena.
Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Hajdar Beqa criticises institutions for lack of dignified representation in the international arena.
The criticism also lies with President Osmani of Chief Diplomat Gervala, who says more has been taken care of.
“As for the failure of diplomacy, unfortunately we have said that we have not seen any current Government strategy for diplomacy, nor at the level of the prime minister, but neither at the level of the country's president, so I think it is a total lack of strategy and at the same time we have no dignified representations outside the Republic of Kosovo. We have seen that the minister (Gorvalla) has taken on several dismissals of diplomatic representatives and has not appointed people to replace them”, Beqa says, as she sees diplomacy without foreign minister.
Beqa says the Government's main focus is on the country's north, with which it says those actions are being taken to cover up failures in the international arena.
“We don't have any recognition so far, we don't have any promises to have a new recognition, we don't have a success in the field of diplomacy, nor lobbies to advance the Republic of Kosovo, and I think that in some form Kosovo is functioning as if there were no foreign minister at all, or as if they had driven it away from their strategy or from their foreign diplomacy project. The whole focus of this government, unfortunately it's in the north, through the north making pots, maybe more populists are trying to cover other failures, such as in the international arena, as we have the problem of economic development, the flight of youth, unemployment, and so on,”, Beqa said.
And more critical of this government, says Democratic League of Kosovo MP Rzazarta Krasniqi.
She has cited the agreement reached in Washington by former Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, for which she was sharply criticised by the Vetevendosje Movement.
“You have seen when former Prime Minister Hoti made an agreement for a year of mortorialism in international organisations, as they called Prime Minister Hoti, and for two years now we have no recognition of any membership in international organisations, so this is disturbing. They should at least have a strategy, but this Government has had no strategy or platform regarding foreign policy”, Krasniqi told EO.
