The Kosovo Oil Association has reacted after the Government's decision to set ceiling prices for oil and gasoline, saying it would have devastating effects on oil companies.
In a response provided by KOHA, the Association said this decision was made without any analysis of the impact of 2022 decisions, without any justification, until it added that it obliges companies again to work at losses resulting in their bankruptcy.
The subx0 oil industry due to overall inflation is facing increased levels of oil and wage products costs, interest rates, maintenance costs, etc. This, combined with profit margin restrictions, will be devastating to oil companies”, said the communique.

Minister Roseta Hajdari, who heads with the Ministry of Industry, Intervention and Trade (MINT), was asked to abolish the decision.
The Ministry of Commerce has returned the measure of profit restrictions for oilers, following the investigation that price hikes on their part are not reflected by price movements on the world market.
