Health Minister Arben Vitita has made it known that all patients who are subordinate insulin should not be disturbed, for according to him, there are enough medications in the stocks.
He said the Ministry of Health has taken all measures, despite the problems, which he said were more contracting for insulin supply.
“Despite the problems that have been with the contract you refer to us as the Ministry of Health we have taken all measures and so far it has not happened once that citizens of the Republic will remain without insulin, a vital product for subordinate insulin patients in Kosovo. So patients won't be without insulin, of course, and we've taken all measures so that this can't happen in any moment”.
Vitia also spoke of the supply of essential drugs and saving materials that she said are not at the proper level where, according to her, essential drugs lists have been signed and procedures for hundreds of products opened, where by October of this year there will no longer be problems with essential drugs in hospitals.
“Durnisation is not at the desired level as I said at the beginning of this year. The list of essential drugs has been signed and passed. There are hundreds of products that are on the list of essential drugs, as I have told the director and other directors by September-to-day, there will not be and we will work to make sure there is no more talk about lack of brana from the list of essential drugs and relief material”, Vitita told EO.
The first health health care in Kosovo also spoke of health insurance, which he said are some preconditions, the key one, according to him, is the health information system.
The final draft of the feasibility study has already been presented. One of three proposals from this feasibility study has been accepted and is working at a fast pace, where the information system is expected to be operational within a year or a half of a year, which will then be the essential prerequisite for the health insurance fund, which with the functioning of the health information system will be very easy and very soon can become”, he said.
