The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, after meetings that have had with civil society and NGOs, in which it has been discussed the political situation in the country, with particular emphasis on Kosovo relations with allies, said that the ideas that this party has unveiled have been supported by up to date.
He has called for new elections in the four municipalities in the north and the formation of a team for drafting the Association of Serb-run municipalities.
Abdixhiku said that at this meeting they have also presented the idea that Kosovo will build a team of professionals, constitutional order experts, law rights, education, culture and economic developments.
“Mbi 20 civil society organisations have responded positively to our invitation, and at a meeting that lasted almost three hours we talked openly about the current political situation in the country and, above all, the road ahead. I am extremely happy, not only for the participation of civil society organisations but also for open-air thought and essentials in what we're now setting”.
“Like the LDK we introduced our seven points, the same ones we presented last week to the opinionists and journalists. For the current LDK, the situation requires extension, requires new elections as soon as possible in the country's north, with the goal of returning legislation to local institutions in four northern municipalities, legitimacy damaged due to the low turnout of local Serbs there, and new elections must be organised in the wake of the political agreement between the VV, The PDK and the four current leaders there for their resignation and causing elections within the 45-year period”.
“As a second point this 45-year period will serve for Kosovo institutions, but in particular for the international community with which we are also constantly communicating for the Serbs' conviction of participation in the upcoming extraordinary elections in the country's north. The position of Kosovo internationally is damaged, not only because of the wrong, unprecedented policies of Prime Minister Kurti and the Government of Kosovo with our allies, but also the extraordinary inability of the ministry of foreign affairs. We think that Kosovo should build teams of professionals, experienced diplomats to send every European and world headquarter to the main ones to demand not only the removal of penalties, sanctioning measures to the Republic of Kosovo, but also to present the country's next steps”.
Abdixhiku has also said that Kosovo should create teams of experienced professionals and diplomats to be taken to the world's top centres to demand the removal of sanctions and to presign the country's next steps. He has reiterated that LDK sees no way of co-operation for the future with Kurti Government.
“We also introduced today the idea that Kosovo will build a team of professionals, constitutional order experts, law, education, culture and economic developments to build the upcoming draft status of the Kosovo Serb majority municipalities, a draft statute built by the best people that has the most authorisation of Kosovo institutions and in full compliance with the constitution of Kosovo, the unitary character of Kosovo and the sovereign order of Kosovo institutions. We have also presented our plan for direct requirements on obligations Serbia should have towards Kosovo in agreements reached so far. These are the points we are discussing with various actors there is full compliance with almost all of them for the alarming situation Kosovo” has.
Kosovo must take the authorship over the draft, and this has been the ongoing request of international institutions. So, now for a year, all international institutions in particular the United States have demanded that Kosovo, the country's institutions, be authorised so that this author is not given another party. So, it is not true that we are not expected of this, rather required of us, and not only that, Kosovo is guaranteed that this expectation does not have to do with constitutional fall or with exit from the Constitutional Framework. We should feel more secure in ourselves, but we also have to establish a clear version that Kosovo is a country of peace, stability, not only in the country, but especially in the north of the country and in the region. Civil society organisations, but also last week the meeting that we had given support to this proposal as the idea that I can offer, initially extension then Kosovo's long-term solution”.
“I don't see a way forward with this Government, so our path has nothing to do with co-operation with these institutions that have brought both tension and collisions to the country, and it's not long to get out of this way, I'm talking about a three-way which Kosovo's prime minister has no room for”, he said, EO reports.
