North elections, Szunyog shows what the CEC chairman talked to

The chief of the EU Office in Kosovo, Thomas Szunyog, has met with CEC Chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi, with whom he has discussed electoral law reform, as well as early elections in four northern municipalities. “Happy to meet with CEC Chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi and discussed work on implementing [the...] reform.
The happy “I meet with CEC Chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi and discussed work on implementing electoral law reform, as well as current issues related to early local elections in the north. The EU will continue its support for the CEC in harmonising sublegal acts with the new” law, it has written.
Kosovo has pledged the recent agreement with the EU on extending the situation to the north, as well as ensuring the legal basis needed to enable organising these elections.
Kosovo's “government after a public statement on whether to hold early elections in the four municipalities in the country's north and then after the true season. Kosovo expresses dedication to ensuring the legal basis needed to enable the organisation of these elections”, the agreed agreement said.
President Osmani and Prime Minister Kurti said they are for the option of organising a petition signed by 20% of voters under the law on self-rule, to initiate new elections.
But that is currently not possible, since Kosovo lacks the law for the referendum that would pave the way for that.
The drafting of this law is not under the CEC's mandate, so fulfilling the pledge to establish the necessary legal base is under the responsibility of the assembly executive.
