The Parliamentary Commission for Health and Social Goodness has reviewed the Law on Change and completion of the State-funded Pension Scheme Law. Finance Minister Iron Murati said that this pension scheme will benefit about 70 thousand people.
“has been a pledge of our government, and there has been also the request of pensioners, who is finally getting the right answer as regards regulating the legal framework. In this regard we have also accepted the decision of the Constitutional Court. Based on the estimate that we've made so that some 70 thousand people can pass into the privacy scheme. The period from layoffs is seen as a working period for the sake of recognising the 15-year contribution. The budget impact is estimated to be about 60m euros annually. Calculating costs for 50 years is also necessary. And the cost has proved to be around 1.3 billion euros for these 50 years”, Minister Murati stressed.
But for the law, opposition MPs drew criticism.
I have expected much more from you. There are two recommendations of the Constitutional Court involved. All countries that have emerged from the conflicts have arranged for reform every three years to become the reform of participants in this category. Perhaps the minister would do well to consider a scheme that has drafted Croatia. I invite everyone to be unique because these people need us”, said AAK deputy Shemsedin Dresaj.
“I don't know how you will inform the Constitutional Court of fulfilling the decision in full and how they will respond. I think the preferential solution will remain an open subject. We should sit down together. I'm not doubting the will, but we have to be consistent about what we're looking for”, LDK deputy Andmen Zemaj has said.
But LVV deputy Fatmire Kolcak said all citizens welcome this law.
I believe all citizens welcome the law. We're in front of a reform of all the schemes and I think the other schemes are going to be set”, she added. Otherwise, the State-funded Pension Scheme Bill will be reviewed at today's Assembly session at 2: 00 p.m.
