Invited to show “The republic” in Tv1, Moliqaj said they are sanctions against a democratic country like Kosovo, which, as he said, is built with international support.
“On the foreign political level are extremely problematic measures in the sense that the EU is placing measures or sanctions, as you wish, but they are practically sanctions a democratic country like Kosovo, which is built with international support. In a dialogue to sanction only one side, we can say that the EU is unfair, we can agree as much as you want, our truth is that we are sanctioned by the European Union. My problem is here that the prime minister had shown such stubbornness with the license plates “, Moliqaj said.
Otherwise, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said he is sorry about these measures, as Kosovo, according to him, is only protecting the values of the European Union itself.
“Masses are pathetic, for example. As they are a response to our firm protection of the fundamental values of the EU itself, democracy and the rule of law. However, Kosovo remains an EU ally, loyal to what the Union represents”, Kurti has said.
The European Union blames Kosovo for sending Albanian mayors to northern municipalities, demanding that they work in alternative objects. Also, they demand that Kosovo Special Police Units leave the area around municipalities.
These EU requirements are within the framework of efforts, as European officials say, for de-progressing the situation in the north.
