“is scheduled to temporarily evacuate residents of four settlements, more than 2,000 people”, Aksyonov said in the Telegram message application.
He gave no information about why the fire was caused, which also forced partial closure of the Tardy main highway.
Russia's Telegram channels linked to Russian security services and Ukrainian media reported that an ammunition depot was being burned after a Ukrainian air attack overnight.
Reuters news agency could not independently verify reporting. There was no immediate comment from Ukraine.
However, Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesperson for the Odessa military administration in Ukraine posted two videos of a fire in an uninhabited area, and wrote: “The enemy's ammunition department at Stari Krem”.
Stari Krim is a small historic town in the Kirovscan Crime District. Russia illegally annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine in 2014.
Videos and photos from social networks showed great flames and smoke fire in an uninhabited area.
Several Telegram channels said that by 7:30 local time, the fire was spreading about three hours, and had not yet been put under control.
The fire comes two days after an explosion damaged the bridge linking Russia to the Crime Peninsula, which left two people dead for which Moscow blamed Ukraine and prompted Russian President Vladimir Putin to pledge revenge.
Overnight, Russia launched an air raid on the Ukrainian port of Odessa for the second night in a row.
Ukraine's military also said a fearful attack in Kiev was successfully backed Wednesday morning.
