The “Isa Grezda” hospital in Gjakova is continuing to provide only essential and urgent services. At this regional hospital, where services require thousands of patients, the management's decision on reducing operations continues to remain in force, in addition to emergency operations, because they say, lack of staff, with particular emphasis on anesthesiologists.

On this very subject, a team of journalists reporting Wednesday was attacked by hospital security, which prompted reactions by the Kosovo Journalists' Association.

A response came also from the Kosovo Clinical and University Hospital Hospital Service Steering Board, which warned the move taken after the attack. They call the Gjakova Hospital's decision to quit meaningless, respectively, to reduce work in operational halls. Moreover, SKKKUK condemns the action of hospital employees, who prevented the free work of journalists and media, guaranteeing and offering full co-operation with media and journalists.
