The law on pension schemes, Miftaraj reacts to Government: It's been taken away.

IKDė Director Ehat Miftari has reacted after the adoption of the Bill on Change and completion of the State-funded pension schemes law that the Government is presenting as its success. Through a Facebook post, Miftaraj has said that this government has had no political will to pass this law, but that it has forced the Constitutional Court to act on justice.

The government will never try to fool public opinion again. It's taken a long time to keep me so open. Don't insult our intelligence. Nannu! This government has no political will to pass the law on pension schemes. The Constitutional Court ordered it. They have it under constitutional and legal obligation to implement the Constitutional Court decision”, Miftaraj wrote.

The new Law on Pension Schemes envisions pensioners being counted from the time they left work until January 1st 1999, towards fulfilling the 15-year condition.

The adoption of this bill paves the way for pension reform in the country by creating a solid and equal pension system, which guarantees stable pensions and cares for pensioners”, says the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers' report.
