The European Union's special envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, has made a summary on this week's discussions on the Western Balkans. He has written on Facebook on Sunday evening that he feels good that with Kosovo's chief negotiator, Besnik Bislimi, he agreed on steps towards postponing reports with Serbia. “From [...]
“From Dubrovnik, I travelled to Bratislava, where I held important bilateral discussions with the first Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo and Kosovo's chief negotiator, Besnik Bislimi. Our conversation focused on extending the situation to the north of Kosovo, in line with the June 3rd declaration, and working towards implementing all dialogue agreements. I'm glad we agreed on the first steps towards this target”, he said.
The EU envoy also wrote about meeting with Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi, where, as Lajcak said, thoughts were exchanged and prepared for the upcoming meeting in Brussels.
For the annual forum in Dubrovnik, Lajcak said a good opportunity was offered to engage with key Western Balkan actors, adding that necessary steps have been taken to intensify reports between Kosovo and Serbia.
