“earlier this week, I traveled to Kosovo and Serbia to pursue our EU efforts to find a solution to the tense situation in northern Kosovo. The main focus was on my meetings with President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Kosovo, as well as with President Aleksandar Vuciq in Serbia to examine options for the road forward in line with EU requirements for deespass, new local elections with the participation of Kosovo Serbs and the return to dialogue”, Lajcak has said.
On the other hand, he added that he appreciates the deepening exchanges of ideas with the parties for concrete steps.
Kosovo's “I also met with the new chief of the EU Mission for Rule of Law in Kosovo, Major General Barbano and KFOR Commander, Major General Riztuccia. We discussed the security situation in Kosovo, the urgent need for all parties to take concrete steps for de-progression and have considered options for the contribution of our organisations”, he has said further.
