Prime Minister Kurti rejected Rama's invitation to attend the informal meeting, attended by leaders of the Western Balkans.
For this, Albanian analyst Ben Andoni, at RTV Dukaagjini, has said Kurti's non-principle “expelled all information in Tirana”, meaning that this fact has received more attention.
There's something wrong between our two countries, in the sense of making a meeting, which was a informal meeting but was a preparation of Western Balkan countries, as regards future projects within the Berlin” Process, Andoni said.
As for the summit, which will be held in Tirana, Andoni has said Tirana is only organising and regarding everything else the European Union is taken up (BE).
In this summit our countries should be with projects ready, they should be places that present clear ideas, and I think the lack of official Kosovo seems to have taken the greatest weight of all”, he added.
Andoni has added that he sees Kosovo “extremely problematic” on all domestic issues, stressing that reports between Kurti and Rama are not normal.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti did not participate in informal lunch called by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama with European Commissioner Oliver Varhely in Tirana, where other prime ministers of the Western Balkans were invited to participate.
This was made known by Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu, who said the reason for nonparticipation is that months ago Kurti has confirmed participation in a conference in Greece's Crete.
“A week ago, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has been invited by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama for an informal lunch with European Commissioner Oliver Warhely in Tirana, where other prime ministers of the Western Balkans are invited to attend. Prime Minister Kurti has announced Prime Minister Rama will not be able to go this time, since months ago he has confirmed attending a conference in Crete, Greece, and where the panel for the Western Balkans is exactly on the same day and at the same time”, he said.
Prime Minister Kurti's move was criticised by opposition and analysts.
