Kurti after meeting with Rutte of Bettel: Agreement to be implemented unconditionally and without delay

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has been declared after meeting with Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Luxembourg's Xavier Bettel, writes Express newspaper. He said he has asked the two European prime ministers to help Kosovo join NATO and the EU. I also requested that they help us with the [...] program.

He said he has asked the two European prime ministers to help Kosovo join NATO and the EU.

“I also asked to help us with NATO's programme, Partnership for Peace, and to move further towards receiving the questionnaire from the European Commission as far as EU membership is concerned, where we have already made our formal application”, he said.

Furthermore, the prime minister also cited the issue of dialogue with Serbia. He said they want European solutions and implementation of agreements.

“Regarding dialogue for normalising relations with Serbia, I have stressed that Kosovo is interested in good neighbourly relations. We want European solutions, and for that we have the basic agreement on February 27th and the annex of implementation on March 17th, which we want to implement in full, without delay and unconditional”, the prime minister said.

Kurti said Kosovo's democratic progress is a good opportunity for the EU to transform the Western Balkans.

“Democracys solidify with each other in the face of autocracy, so Kosovo's democratic progress is also the opportunity not only for our state, but also for the EU to push ahead reforms and transform the Western Balkans”, he said.

Furthermore, Kurti has thanked the two European prime ministers for visiting Kosovo.

“in these important times for democracy and security and peace in our region and our continent. Our countries enjoy fine relationships that are always close to them. We are grateful for the support of the Netherlands and Luxembourg for our freedom and independence, for democratic and economic progress”, he said.
