Kurt and Osman are looking for the chief prosecutor, why was the decision still made about Blerim Isufajn?

President Vjosa Osmani is still waiting. Blerim Isufajn has said he will not decree it to the chief prosecutor, but has made a decision. The presidency warned that this protracted process would be completed in late April, but something has further postponed President Vjosa Osmani's decision. When they said [...]

When in the presidencys said they were waiting for the end of April for President Vjosa Osmani to make a decision to decree or not to buy Isufaj as chief prosecutor, the complaint of one of the candidates lasted the process even longer.

The presidency said they had been announced by the Constitutional Court that a Isufaj counter-Candidate had filed a request to the country's highest court, with which a Supreme Court was contested.

Bekim Kupina, a media adviser to Osmani, had said that once the treatment of this complaint is concluded, the president would take the necessary actions in line with its constitutional obligations and responsibilities.

Earlier, Kupina had said that deadlines for contesting the process of electing the chief prosecutor would end in late April and that “The president would make the decision after the depletion of this” deadline.

The Constitutional Court on 4 July has declared the two candidates' demands for chief prosecutor, Albanian Fazlius and Armend Hamit, who had rejected the constitutionality of the April 6th 2022 decision by the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council for the Proposal of Blerim Isufaj in the position of State Chief Prosecutor.

From the presidency, they had said they were awaiting the Constitutional Court before this court -- such as the highest control over legislative and executive powers -- to announce the verdict on complaints of two candidates that were ranked second and fourth in the race for the chief prosecutor.

Albanian Fazliu and Armend Hamiti on 28 April and 6 June addressed the Constitutional Court, respectively, claiming that the KKP's decision on the selection of Blerim Isufaj had violated their guaranteed rights and freedoms with the Constitutions and the European Convention on Human Rights.

Kurti Karrantoi that Isufaj can become chief prosecutor, Osmani has said that you decree

Special Prosecutor's Chief Prosecutor Blerim Isufaj has been at the centre of attacks by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and MPs from the ruling party following the arrest of Kosovo Energy Corporation chief Nagip Krasniqi in April on the order of this prosecutor.

Kurti at a Assembly session had labeled prosecutors opponents, expressing his indignation with the arrest of KEK chief chief. He said Isufaj would not be the chief prosecutor.

Prosecutors who commit suicide and suicide commit murder despite the will and position of the president, prime minister and prime minister, want to, at any cost, whatever circumstances, certainly become chief prosecutor. But they won't. They won't. Not because it's me. Not because you are. But because there are both Republics and people” in this country, Kurti expressed himself. He called prosecutors “people who have yet to agree with the outcome of February 14th, 2021”.

Meanwhile, President Vjosa Osmani, who late October last year, has said she has announced The KKP will not expect decree from it, but without making any decisions.

The Prosecutor's Council is notified and at the last meeting we've had with them. It is absurd to expect a process, which is being contested in Kosovo courts. This does not happen in a country where the law rules. And I'm the president who respects law and constitution”, Osmani said on October 26, 2022.

Osmani had accused the Procusorial Council of unacceptable and illegal <x0pression” on him regarding the process of electing the chief state prosecutor.

KKP on 5 April has demanded that Osmani urgently decree Blerim Isufaj in the chief prosecutor's position, as they were made over a year since their proposal is standing without epilogues in the presidency.

Osmani had responded with a letter sent to KKP leader Jetish Maloku.

“Expressing my opposition to the tendency that through distorted interpretations of court decisions regarding the procedure carried out at the KKP, public opinion and the presidency institution”, Time has reported on.

Osman said that he had informed him. The KKP would expect “the suspension of all constitutional and legal terms” for candidates who have complained to receive answers.

On April 6, 2022, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council unanimously voted Blerim Isufajn to succeed Aleksandar Lumez in the position of chief state prosecutor. When Lumez's seven-year term ended, KKP had appointed Besim Kelmendi as the acting prosecutor of state.

The United States of America and the European Union, in particular Germany, had considered it surprising, disappointing and disturbing, the way the Prosecutorial Council had chosen Blerim Isufaj for the chief state prosecutor.

Three non-governmental organizations: The Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD), the Group for Jury and Political Studies (GLPS) and the FOL Movement had asked the president not to decree Isufajn, considering the KP proposal unacceptable.
