Andrej Ivanji, editor of the weekly newspaper “Vreme”, has said that an international conference is needed for Kosovo, since the EU-enlightened Kosovo-Serbia dialogue has not produced any results, writes Express.
In an interview for the Fonet news agency, Ivanji has said dialogue is essential and has suggested that there is a frozen conflict in Kosovo.
Given the current circumstances, Ivanji has said that things will remain as they are long ago and that he holds that risk for greater conflict. However, it says local tensions cannot be ruled out, as recently seen.
He has said further that the EU is the only chance for Serbia and has said that Kosovo's membership in the UN is real reality.
Ivanji has said he believes that the Association of Serb-run municipalities will be formed, since Pristina has pledged that, and adds that the West must put Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti under tremendous pressure to implement the Association Agreement.
International conference idea has brought Prime Minister Edi Rama to public. Charles Michel was the first to support him openly.
