Kosovo Export in June only 68.5m euros, import 467.3m euros

According to the AKS, the trade deficit is lower for 4.6% in June 2023, compared to June 2022.
The data from Kosovo's Foreign Trade and Goods shows a lower trade deficit for 4.6% in June 2023, in proportion to the same period in 2022, worth 398.8m euros, compared to the deficit of 418.1m euros in 2022. Export covers import with 14.7. Export of goods in June 2023 was worth 68.5m euros, while import of 467.3m euros, which is a drop of (-8.1% per export and (-5.2%) for import, compared to the same period of 2022”, the KSF communiqué said.
Exports in Main Group Sectors
According to key export data: 21.1% make up basic metals and articles from them; 163% make up different products produced; 14.4% make up plastics, tires and articles from them; 10.1% make up prepared foods, drinks and tobacco, etc.
Imports According to Main Group Sectors
According to key import groups data: 13.4% make up prepared foods, drinks and tobacco; 13.2% make up mineral products; 11.5% make up machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment; 10.4% make up basic metals and articles; 10.2% make up transport vehicles, etc.
Kosovo Exports, Imports With EU Countries
Kosovo exports to EU countries reached 22.8m euros, or about 33.4% of total exports, with a drop of (four.9%). The main partners for export of goods to the EU were: Germany (12.7%), Italy (4.0%), the Netherlands (3.3%), etc.
Kosovo imports from EU countries stood at about 199.6m euros, or 42.7% of total imports, with an increase of 3.7%. Imports with high turnout were from: Germany (13.3%), Italy (5.7%), Greece (4.4%), etc.
Kosovo Exports and Imports with CEFTA countries
Kosovo exports with CEFTA countries reached 27.9m euros, or 40.7% of total exports, with a drop of (-1.1%). The main partner for export from CEFTA countries was: Albania (14.4%), Northern Macedonia (14.4%), Montenegro (5.3%), Serbia (5.1%).
While imports from CEFTA countries in June 2023 reached 72.4m euros, or 15.5% of total imports, with a drop of (-22.0%). The countries with the highest share in import was: Albania (5.3%), Northern Macedonia (5.3%), Serbia (2.8%).
Kosovo Exports, Imports With Other Countries
Kosovo exports with other countries of the world reached 17.7m euros, or 25.9%. As more important partners from these countries for export were: US (10.2%) and Switzerland (9.9%).
While, Kosovo's imports with other countries of the world reached 195.3m euros, or 41.8%. The countries with the highest share in import was: Turkey (14.5%) and China (10.3%).
