Izmir Zeqiri: Kosovo's interest is priority. I co-ordinate my decisions with PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi

“E respect the mandate, obligations and responsibilities I have, but the interest of the state of Kosovo is above all. Therefore, the PDK's positions, by Chairman Memli Krasniqi's, as well as the decisions of the Steering Council on July 3rd, where I was also participating, are guides and the foundation of the positions on which I will act in the future. I have no difference from that vision and those attitudes. Just as I co-ordinated my actions and consulted with Party Chairman Memli Krasniqi at every step, before, during and after the elections, so will we continue in the future”, Zeqiri said via his Facebook page.

He said our actions would also be consulted with international partners, because, as Zeqiri says, escalation in the northern part of Kosovo is contrary to our state's interest, so, as he said, The PDK and he are willing to contribute to de-progression of the situation, including holding new elections in these municipalities, when this is possible.

For today, it makes no sense that it would not solve the situation. However, me and the PDK are in favour of finding solutions and restoring normality in our municipality. For me as Chairman and, above all, as citizen of this state, Kosovo's interest is always a priority before any other” interest, Zeqiri has said.
