International relations expert: We are in situation when the solution does not have to be perfect for Kosovo

According to him, this should be done even if the solution is not necessarily the perfect one for Kosovo.

He in an interview on KTV's interactive “ ” show has said the EU's tripoint plan must be accepted, although it may not be the best for Kosovo.

“We can see before ourselves the three-point plan, we can say this is not the best, blames Kosovo more, requires more from Kosovo, does not require enough of Serbia, and agrees all about it, but we need to understand that it is the way out of the situation and the exit of the situation will bring Kosovo more, in the short term and the medium-term”, he has stressed.

Gashi has said that even the statement made by former US President Bill Clinton, that he would never want to see anything like it in the north, proves that the issue in the north should be resolved as soon as possible.

“This is also a very, very significant call, from one of the biggest friends, who are alive, of Kosovo, that the issue in the north of the country should be resolved as soon as possible, and now we are at the moment when the solution should not necessarily be perfect, it should not have all the elements that we might think are right or that they belong to Kosovo, but it has to find a solution to restore confidence that Kosovo understands clearly that with the US but also with the EU that it will work towards progress in the foreign policy of<1x> Gashi stressed.

He has said the main concern internationals have is the possibility of an outbreak of conflict in the north.

According to Gashi for this reason comes reproof against the Kosovo side, as it is estimated that Kosovo has the security situation in the north.

He has declared that the current situation is very serious. Gashi has mentioned in this case the sanctions that have been imposed on Kosovo on the part of the EU, and has said it is good that there are currently no US explosives against Kosovo, despite his claim that there is a cooling of reports.

Gashi has stressed that Kosovo must do everything to maintain its friendship with the US. So that we don't go a very straight way, but that when no one believes in your right, you have to realize that it's a much longer game”, he declared.

Gashi has also talked about the idea of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, holding a conference between Kosovo and Serbia.

According to him, the two countries have been in major negotiating processes many times and have agreed on what they could.

Gashi has said that what has not changed is the two states' power report and EU support for Kosovo. Instead of insisting that these two states be reconciled, we should insist that all EU states recognise Kosovo, because when Kosovo and Serbia are equal in reports and discussions, then Serbia has a hard time demanding more out of what Kosovo has witnessed”, Gashi has declared.

According to him, the US and the EU should pressure the five non-recognising countries to recognise Kosovo.
