The U.S. Embassy organised a ceremony last night to mark July 4th, U.S. Independence Day, attended by President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Chief Prime Minister Glauk Konjufca.
Some photographs of Kurt from this ceremony have separated the prime minister's office, but in neither of them Kurti is seen with US Ambassador Jeffrey Havenier.
Kurt was not given the word during this ceremony, but according to ZKMA, Kurti has congratulated Havener on July 4th, the best “wishes for the American nation, the great ally of the Republic of Kosovo”.
The United States of America has been very critical of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's decisions regarding Kosovo's north. US Secretary Antony Blinken had rejected the way Kurt acted without co-ordination for the North, until in a statement from the US State Department, it was said that the unilateral actions of the Government of Kosovo would also affect US-Kosovo Interstate reports.
After this criticism, the United States has taken steps. Kosovo has been excluded from the Defender Europe military operation, while there have been also warnings that there may be measures to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti personally.
