Former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has reacted to the European Union's measures taken against Kosovo and to the announcement that the EU has made Kosovo 28 June for the entry into force.
Hoti has said the Government of Kosovo has announced neither the Kosovo Assembly nor the citizens of this new situation, and has said that the Assembly should meet for an extraordinary session to agree on the actions.
The LDK MP has asked where the president of Kosovo is and why she does not exercise her post.
Hoti says Kurtid he Osmani is taking Kosovo on another path, not that of the West.
“One thing is clear: Kosovo cannot be led by a prime minister and president who bring sanctions to the country instead of Euro-Atlantic integration”, Hoti has said.
Full response:
On June 28, 2023, The EU has announced the Government of Kosovo on imposed sanctions: the MSA suspension, suspension of projects funded by the Western Balkans, suspension of IPA funds, suspension of high bilateral meetings and other measures.
The Kosovo government has not announced the Kosovo Assembly nor the citizens of this new situation.
The Assembly must meet at extraordinary hearings to discuss and agree to the course of action.
Where's the president of the country? Why aren't you practicing her function? This binomial is taking Kosovo on another road, not that of the West.
One thing is clear: Kosovo cannot be led by a prime minister and president who bring the country sanctions instead of Euro-Atlantic integration.
