In recent hearings the 10th and 11th witness called by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office has testified and answered the questions of the Prosecutor, Defence, the defender of the victims and judges.
The Judicial Chamber expressed concern about the pace of how the hearings are going on in this court case and reminded the parties that it is unnecessary to ask witnesses in detail about uncontested aspects.
The eleventh witness concluded the testimony, and after that the Judicial Chamber discussed extensively with the parties and the defender of the victims about concrete steps that could be taken to ensure a greater number of public hearings in this court case. The discussion was based on written statements that the Judicial Chamber had received from the Prosecutor, Protection and Protection of the Victims.
The chief judge stressed that all agree a public judicial process should be promoted. At the end of the session, he suggested that the Judicial Chamber would likely reassemble parties and participants to discuss the proposals made and urged the Prosecutor and Defence to provide their assistance to address this aspect.
Unlike June 28th, the Prosecution handed over the list of 12 other witnesses to be called to the Thaci court case and others.
The list also contains backup witnesses, and the prosecution stressed that it has reduced the projected time needed to question eight of these witnesses. Witness names have been handed over as part of a confidential appendix.
