According to the announcement, the session is expected to begin at 09 a.m.
Otherwise, in the trial of Thaci and others, in the phase of the supplementary questions of defence teams during the questioning of witness Rrustem Mustafa, former commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK) in the Lapi Operative Zone, statements have been read from meeting zone commanders, expressing disappointment with members of the KLA's General Staff.
These readings were originally made by Thaci's defence attorney, Luka Mistiq, who submitted the document from the notes of the gathering of the commanders of the areas, where Sylejman Selimi had said that if Sokol Unify and Jakup Krasniqi remain in these posts, he no longer reported to the General Staff, which Mustafa said under this document Selimi has expressed his frustrations.
Next read was Sami Lushtak's fragment, which had said that Rexhep Selimi, Hashim Thaci and Kadri Wessel were responsible for the situation and that the Mustafa statement that had said that persons had disappointed their fellow fighters, writes “The Battle for Justice”.
Regarding this statement, Mustafa said he did not know exactly what he was thinking at the time, but speculated that he had meant they had escaped from commanders who were handling field operations.
When asked whether it is right to say that some of the people were disappointed including Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, witness Mustafa said the basic part of that being seen is right.
Further, the session has been spent at private session for a while on the answers Mustafa had talked about the aforementioned ones.
Next, Mustafa said he cannot remember that the prosecution has shown any other communiqué to the General Staff, except for the 54th communiqué to show specifically that it sends a message to the bans.
He said he doesn't remember any other communique they had to stop people in their area.
On the other hand, regarding Commander Drini, he said he knows that he is the longest-lived commander of the Pacific area, saying once again that he does not know exactly the date Drini had become commander.
He said he does not believe that the meetings Drini and Bislim Office may have been present before December 1998.
As for the supplementary questions of Wessel's defender, lawyer Ben Emmeson confirmed that at the February 13th meeting the zone commanders were proposing two possible commanders and that Mustafa's proposal had been for Bislim Office and Ramush Haradinaj's proposal to Sylejman Selimi.
Meanwhile, Mustafa confirmed that Sylejman Selimi had been commander of the Drenica area and that Haradinaj has proposed that one of the commanders of the areas be able to command the General Staff and the KLA in general.
He said he had finally obeyed and accepted Sylejman Selim as the general command.
As for the statement about SHIK, the witness said that as it can be read, the same suspect someone used SHIK to pressure.
He further stated that by selecting the commander in some way the delegation members had taken power from the commanders of the zones and had no ability to negotiate.
At the same time, asked about a speaker's concern that other countries' intelligence services such as the CIA, SHIK, Serbia's secret service, the witness said he does not remember exactly but knows how much there has been to debate.
According to him, SHIK has referred to the Albanian national intelligence service and said he remembers calling the Albanian prime minister at the time and negotiating the issue.
He said he has raised concerns that SHIK is not familiar with internal problems, urging people to leave and not put pressure on people.
Linked to this topic, Emmerson read a portion of Ramush Haradinaj's reaction, who had said that we are army and are not interested in the concerns of foreign states, even those of the mother state, which Mustafa said Haradinaj had referred to the Albanian state as mother state.
Selim's defender, lawyer Geoffrey Roberts, asked the witness to confirm some cases and that Mustafa did so.
According to him, Rexhep Selimi had never been introduced as commander-in-chief either as the commander of the Drenica area, and that no members of the General Staff had ever introduced him as commander, that he had never seen any documents during and after the war that Selim's name was submitted as commander.
He added that his opinion had been wrong, but that in the interview with the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, he had only talked about the impressions he had the same time.
While Krasniqi's defence has had no additional questions, the court has continued questioning witness Mustafa.
