Through a media communiqué, the Court reports that Yacurti has been sent into custody for 30 days, under suspicion of committing three criminal acts of mass destruction, slight bodily access, and a seizure of violent property.
“Following request, “on July 19th 2023, around 12:30 at the “Isa Grezda” Hospital in Gjakova, defendant seriously injured A. L. and G. H., so that the critical day of the injuries is not allowed by the defendant to film in the space within the hospital, and just after he injured A. L. The defendant goes outside the hospital door and physically attacks him by pushing him into the chest region and hitting him at the camera, then walking inside the cabin and taking a wooden stick and hitting him in the throat region, causing the injuries to cause slight bodily damage”, says the Court's report.

According to the report, the judge of the preliminary procedure, Samedin Cena, has estimated that legal conditions for appointing the detention measure for the defendant in question have been met, taking into account that formal investigations are in their initial phase and finding the defendant in freedom, jeopardises the impact on witnesses and damage to other evidence that will be provided by the prosecution's body.
The defendant will be held in custody for a month, which will be counted from the time of his arrest on July 19th 2023 and will last until August 18th, 2023.
The sides have the right to appeal to this decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeals.
